peacock

Where are Peacocks originated from?

-Different types of peacocks are found world wide. The blue Peacock is from India and Sri Lanka. The green peacock is from Java and Myanmar which is in Burma (South East Asia and Indonesia).

What do they like to eat?

-In the wild Peacocks like fruit, berries, grains, small mammals, reptiles, small snakes and insects. They like ants, millipedes, crickets, termites, centipedes, locust and scorpions. Peacock will also eat seeds, grass, plants and flower petals and berries as part of their diet.

Why did I choose this bird?

-I chose the Peacock because I have some similarities with it.For example, the Peacocks have bright, beautiful colours and they like being social/interacting with others just like me. I like being happy and bright and I love meeting new people and being social with others because its a nice experience to meet different people.

Fears of the bird?
-Peafowl (female peacocks) are generally frightened of dogs. If you have an invisible fence, you can keep your dog in the yard to discourage visits. An alternative is to bring a leashed dog outdoors whenever you see the birds and firmly escort them from the property, keeping far enough back that Fido can't actually reach them.

What does my bird represent?

-My bird/mascot represents my personality. It describe how t likes being around other people and how it likes interacting with others just like me.Its a great experience for me to meet new people as I like making new friends. The bright colours represent feelings.I love being joyful and happy. Laughing with friends and having fun.
